I'm super excited to announce that I will be writing a new weekly column in the Huffington Post! Today, they are launching a new section called "Gay Voices", and I was invited to come and write for them.

My column is called "Juicy Jincey's Binoculars", and it's all about how I see the world. There's a bit of mystery, some fantasy, a touch of voyeurism, and a lot of humor in the writing. I will talk about my career, my personal life, my struggles and successes, and I'll also give my input on interesting hot topics in pop culture.

I Love Your Work

I'm very proud to announce that tonight NYC's Pace Gallery is debuting a work by famed multi-media artist, Jonathan Harris. The piece is called "I Love Your Work", and it follows myself and other JUICY PINK BOX stars through the week of filming THERAPY.

This is a big, huge deal for us. First of all, I worked for about a year and a half with Jonathan to set up this project, so it's very dear to me. Secondly, this kind of art/porn collaboration is exactly what we are all about. Jonathan is a visionary who is ahead of his time, and yet, his work is somehow timeless. Traditional mainstream porn is tired and stagnant. We aim to be future-oriented and creative, and I'm so happy that the art world will be introduced to our point of view.

I Love Your Work explores the realities of those who make fantasies — namely, of those who make porn.

The project investigates the private lives of nine women working to produce a lesbian porn series in New York City. For 10 days, I spent all day and night with a different woman, taking 10 seconds of video every five minutes (while awake), and switching to a new woman each morning at 10:10 AM. The video clips are exactly 10 seconds long — mimicking the free teasers offered by porn sites enticing people to pay to see more. These free 10-second clips are all most people ever see of porn, making the format personally familiar to many, but only from private encounters.

With a prescient sense of what we really want, porn taps into what is just below the surface, what is not yet accepted by mainstream society, yet what is in us anyway — percolating, potent, and primal.

Porn’s insatiable appetite for exploration has had a massive effect on the growth of the Web. Historically, porn has been the secret staging ground for every major online innovation. Porn sites pioneered digital photos, digital videos, online chat, web cams, e-commerce, social networking, and virtual 3D worlds. When a new technology needs to be tested, the guinea pig is porn. The most common search queries have to do with sex and porn, while porn sites generate more revenue than online advertising, yet receive only a fraction of the attention. In many ways, porn is the elephant in the room of the Internet.

I Love Your Work is a 10-screen video installation showcasing the 2,202 10-second video clips taken during the project. Each screen depicts a single day, and all 10 screens are synchronized, so some start earlier than others (for those who woke up early), and some stop later than others (for those who stayed up late). But for the bulk of the day, the 10 screens step through time together — fractured, frantic portholes into 10 different personal worlds.

Coming soon is a website to accompany the project. When the site is released at iloveyourwork.net, it will only be available to 10 viewers per day, at the cost of $10 each. Most websites are judged by the number of viewers they have, but this one will only ever have 10. There will be a scheduling and payment system similar to booking hotel rooms, which viewers will be able to use to “book a date” many days or months in advance. They will receive an email at 10:10 AM on the day that they booked, providing a password set to expire 24 hours later. The site is likely to sell out for many months almost immediately, causing frustration and denial among those who wish to see it.

My New Plan

I'm been atrociously bad at updating this blog, but I am making a comittment to now update weekly! There are so many amazing things happening at JPB, and I don't want you to miss out.

Viva Las Vegas- 2011 AVN Convention & Awards

A few weeks ago I flew out to Vegas for the 2011 AVN Convention and Awards- I call them the "Sexpo" and the "Oscars of Porn". I had an amazing time in the Girlfriends Films booth. We have a new distribution partnership, and it was so much fun promoting TAXI Volume 1.

I did interviews with PlayboyTV Korea, HBO Latino, AVN, and lots of other television shows, magazines, newspapers and blogs all over the world. So fun!!

The fans really turned out en masse. So many people cam by the booth to say how much they love Juicy Pink Box and how we glamorize lesbian sex. It was surreal to meet the fans in person, sign autographs and pose for pictures with them.

I wasn't alone, however-- I took the lovely Ela Darling with me to help promote Juicy Pink Box.

Ela and I attended the Oscars of Porn together and walked the red carpet. Ela was a red carpet virgin, and she was so nervous that she was shaking right before we walked out. But she looked beautiful.

We had a total blast and rocked it with our hot dresses.

Our seats at the Show kicked ass- we were four rows from the stage. And we also got a big kick out of the 3-D glasses.

The Luck of The Irish

I just did an interview on Newstalk Radio Ireland for the Sean Moncrieff Show (hosted by Allen as a stand-in, since Sean was on holiday. He was really funny, and I enjoyed it a lot. He encouraged all Irish girls to come and submit for casting, and I concur! Come on Irish hotties!! Model for us.

UPDATE: Problems with video player

Hi everyone-

Just wanted to give you the update on the video player bug.

We have pinpointed a few reasons for the massive problems with the video player not playing the videos:

1. You must have the latest versions of your internet browser and flash player installed. If you do not have the latest versions of that software installed, then you will very likely encounter problems both in navigating, viewing the site and in watching the videos. In particular, INTERNET EXPLORER 6 & 7 ARE NOT COMPATIBLE with Juicy Pink Box, because we run on more complicated and newer scripts that IE6 & IE7 do not recognize. If you do not upgrade your software to the newest versions, we cannot guarantee optimal viewing of site content. We wish there was a way around it, but there isn't. In order for us to deliver the content in the way we want to and to have the site look the way we want to, we can't have the site run on older browser versions. To download the newest version of Internet Explorer from Microsoft, CLICK HERE. To download the latest version of Flash Player from Adobe, CLICK HERE.
2. We found some errors in the code, and we have cleaned those up.
3. Some of the videos were in the wrong format, so they are being fixed. It takes quite a while to render out new versions of the videos, so we expect this process to take a few days.

Hopefully after these fixes the site will be working at 100% and you can enjoy your porno without technical interruptions. ;)

Important: Problems with Video Player

Dear JPB subscribers-

We are having serious issues with the video player recognizing the formatting of the videos on the site. We're trying to pinpoint the exact cause of this issue. It's been popping up here and there over the last few months, but now, even videos that worked before seem not to be working as they should.

I know this is frustrating, and I assure you that we are working to fix it. I have a developer doing research now, and we are testing different video formats to optimize streaming.

I'm one of the OUT 100!

Out Magazine just released their OUT 100 list for 2010, and I am named as one of the most "compelling LGBT people shaping culture this year". Big honor!

I had a photo shoot in January with my good friend, trans-activist and television star, LaVerne Cox, the notorious Michael Musto of the Village Voice, and Kimberly Reed who directed and produced the documentary "Prodigal Sons".

On the same day at that shoot I met the adorable Chely Wright, country music's first out lesbian.

The party was so much fun- lots of interviews on the red carpet and all kinds of interesting people in attendance.

Gearing up for Pride

All the magazines are sizzling with summer heat and prepping for pride. I'm featured (alongside the amazing Bebe Zahara Benet, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race) in the Pride edition of Pittsburgh's Cue Magazine this month. Love the colors!

New York City's Sexeratti

Last week I attended several interesting and noteworthy events. First, on Thursday I was invited to Kiki de Montparnasse for the book launch party of sex guru, Betty Dodson. Betty's memoir "My Sexual Revolution" is already for sale online and hits stores this summer. She's adorable. At 81 she looks fantastic and tells everyone it's because she masturbates daily.

The same night I was honored to be asked to attend the exclusive opening night preview of international drag superstar Bebe Zahara Benet's new show, "Queendom". Bebe is the winner of the first season of the Logo/ VH1 hit RuPaul's Drag Race. Her show was hilarious and uplifting, too. Very Lion King meets Liza. Bebe sang all original numbers. Impressive.

Finally, on Friday I went to an exclusive salon given by Betony Vernon, a very chic erotic jewelry designer and sex educator. It was all very elite! She gave a talk on "Full Body Stimulation and Erotic Rituals" to about 30 of us guests. It was hosted by the amazingly fabulous cougar, Cindy Gallop, who runs the sites Make Love Not Porn and If We Ran the World. The salon took place in the living room of Cindy's infamous "Black Apartment", which is truly jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The pictures just can't even capture how beautiful her apartment is. The event was fantastic.
